This romantic indoor garden-inspired wedding styled shoot has a lot of unique elements to inspire couples who are looking for romantic and elegant garden wedding ideas.

I chose Cumberland Belle as the venue for our styled shoot. Cumberland Belle, a church built in the 1800s and converted into a venue, is the perfect mix of blank canvas and character. It has some stunning features, and one of those features are the stained-glass cathedral-windows. The sunlight pouring in through those windows on the day of our styled shoot was just heavenly and one of my favourite moments captured.

When coming up with a design, I love to draw inspiration from the space itself. So, for the ceremony we built a custom cathedral-window shaped arch inspired by the windows at Cumberland Belle. This unique 8ft. white arch covered in florals and greenery beautifully complemented the space. The sunlight pouring in through the windows on either side of the arch really gave the ceremony set up an ethereal vibe. We do see this arch shape again with the entrance doors to Cumberland Belle. This consistent detail gives the setup a very cohesive look.

When I first started planning for this styled shoot, I knew I wanted to go with a more unusual colour combination. I really wanted to emphasis colour and went with a mixture of different shades of dusty blues and lavender. I also wanted to portray a garden feel through various elements throughout the setup. We have lush floral bouquets on the tables, and florals and greenery covering the ceremony arch. The cake was beautifully decorated to match the garden-inspired florals You can also spot the subtle butterflies incorporated throughout with the florals to further portray the garden feel.

The different shades of dusty blues and lavender were incorporated in the styled shoot through the florals, the linen, the invitation suite and even the groom’s suit. We incorporated the 2022 Pantone colour of the year ‘Very Peri’ as the colour of the font for the invitation suite. We complimented these colours with beautiful textures such as the blue velvet envelope.

The reception was set up with round tables and a mix and match of our colour scheme of dusty blues and lavender for the linen. To accent the decor, we included intricate gold charger plates and flatware for a vintage flair. Curled name place holders, to match the scroll sign, were gently placed on the elegant gold rimmed glassware. The pops of colour in this styled shoot added a true wow factor.

The bride wore a unique and romantic corset gown with delicate tulle off shoulder sleeves. The dress was covered in stunning floral detailing. She wore pearl accessories and a cathedral length veil to tie this look together. The groom wore a blue suit to stand out with a formal-casual look that is perfectly suited for an indoor garden wedding

We incorporated a scroll sign on the cake table set up and wanted to include a meaningful message on it. I chose the poem “Love one another” by Khalil Gibran to be displayed on it. This beautifully written poem embodies the marriage advise I would want to give couples getting married today.
